Sights

Berlin is considered one of the most architecturally exciting, culturally diverse and historically most interesting metropolises in the world: dynamic, cosmopolitan and constantly changing. Discovering this city and eliciting its secrets, the exciting interplay of past and present, not only requires intellectual curiosity, but also a good deal of physical stamina. Be inspired and experience the Spree metropolis with its creative urban vitality and its checkered history.

Berlin cuisine

With its thousands of restaurants, cafes and pubs, Berlin offers its guests an almost unmanageable selection of gastronomic localities of every culinary category. The rumor persists that a fried or boiled saussage - which is sliced and served with a kind of sauce based on tomato paste and curry powder - is the standard meal for Berliners. This legend about a fast food variant that has achieved cult status, which is commonly sold under the name "Currywurst", is more likely to be rated as "canard".

Clubbing

Berlin's legendary reputation from the "Golden 20s" as the capital of classic variety shows and frivolous revues has lost none of its appeal. The new German metropolis presents itself again today with a vibrant nightlife. Burlesque amusements of all kinds are also among the special attractions of Berlin, as are the bars, clubs and lounges with a wide variety of musical styles, where you can spend the night dancing or just hanging out. Sometimes it doesn't open until around midnight but then till the sun comes up – and goes down again. Because Berlin has no official closing time!

Sports

For everyone interested in sports, Berlin offers a wide range of sports and events at an international level. From horse races to regattas, football, basketball and ice hockey games to the "Berlin Marathon". The possibilities for Berlin visitors to participate as enthusiastic spectators or to become active in sports are almost inexhaustible.
